Full Fathom Five Thy Father Lie

FULL FATHOM FIVE THY FATHER LIE
The poem “Full fathom five thy father lie” was written by a well known remarkable English poet, known as the father of English drama, William Shakespeare. This poem is adopted from his play “The tempest, act first scene two.” This song is sung by the spirit Ariel to Ferdinand, the prince of Naples, who mistakenly thinks his father, is drowned thirty feet down from the surface.
The spirit Ariel sings the song not to be worried to the death of father because his death is not simple in the sense that his bones are changed into coral and the eyes into pearls. Nothing of him has been decayed. His death brought the sea into something rich and strange. Sea-nymphs are ringing his knell. The sound of the bell is Ding-Dong.
